Who We Are

The Digital Hope Project is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and developing communities across Africa through access to education, technology, and essential career skills.

Founded by LaNesha Houston in St. Louis, Missouri, our mission began with a vision to bridge the digital divide by teaching computer literacy and IT certification skills to young adults in underserved areas. Our first pilot program launches in Accra, Ghana in 2026, training students in digital literacy, online safety, and foundational tech tools that prepare them for the modern workforce.

Beyond technology, our long-term goal is to expand into additional skill-building programs — including healthcare, entrepreneurship, and vocational training — so communities can thrive, sustain themselves, and uplift others.

We believe that by equipping individuals with the right skills and opportunities, they can build stronger communities, inspire innovation, and help shape a brighter future for Africa and beyond.
